LES GIRLS TO WOMEN

LES Girls to Women is a weekly component of the Girls' and Young Women's Initiative. It was established in 1996 by two NYU volunteers. This group provides girls, ages 9-12 with a space to grow and explore their identity as preteen girls.

Over the past four years, these girls have participated in activities such as:

  • web design
  • body image/self esteem workshops
  • community service projects
  • dance
  • art
