emphasis on community-based initiatives involving children and youth.

What is AmeriCorps?

AmeriCorps is an opportunity to make a big difference in your life and in the lives of those around you. It is a chance to apply your skills and ideals toward helping others and meeting critical needs in the community. Each year, Americorps offers opportunities for adults of all ages and backgrounds to serve at educational institutions and community-based organizations. The AmeriCorps program at Grand Street Settlement, known as "Community Builders," is a part-time AmeriCorps State program. Members are required to complete 900 hours of service within one year.
